On the banks of the wide range of rivers and lakes we learn the art of fly fishing for beautiful brown and rainbow trout. From New Zealand, Rex takes us to England and the Itchen River, home to the most celebrated chalk streams in Southern England.
We travel to the independent nation known as the Solomons, the third largest archipelago in the Southern Pacific region and also one of the most unspoilt. The Solomons is made up of at least 992 individual islands and it is in this paradise that Rex lands archer fish, trevally and mangrove jack, the biggest fighters around. We also see Rex trolling for coral trout and small Spanish mackerel.
This beautifully shot masterpiece ends in Thailand and the tourism mecca of Phuket where Rex absorbs the local culture whilst going in search of northern blue fin tuna, wahoo and dolphin fish.
